Helping Out People Everywhere

H.O.P.E. is our service organization that our students take part in every year. We participate in various activities throughout the year.

On a consistent basis, we serve our neighbors in Spring Branch every week, all year. We volunteer at Esperanza en Cristo, a local church's afterschool homework and tutoring program, Our students help them with their homework, and then play basketball or games with them. Over the years, we have been blessed to have built wonderful relationships with the children! Christmas 2013, our families provided Christmas for over 30 students, and other families who were going through hard times.

On a monthly basis, we participate in other volunteer activities on a scheduled Saturday. For example, we made cards for the sick and elderly on Valentine's Day, participated in National Public Lands Day in which we cleaned up Hermann Park, and even went to Galveston to help clean the beaches after the hurricane.

We participated in Military Week by making cards for our troops and worked at the Christmas Store, which provided gifts and food for needy families during the holiday season.

We are so grateful to be able to help others. Role-modeling and facilitating ways in which each child can develop and maintain an attitude of gratitude is one of the most important things we can do for and with our students.
