In terms of tuition and fees, at Memorial Private School, we make every effort to make our school accessible and affordable for all families. In fact, it is one of our tenets to be one of the most affordable private schools in the Houston area.
$1,400: Annual Non-Refundable Registration Fee
$7,900: Tuition per Semester (Save $200 off if received by the deadline)
$785: Textbooks, Technology, and Curriculum Fees (per semester)
$1,850: Advancement Lab (per semester, only if required)
Note: Uniforms are purchased by the family directly online from Lands End. Select Memorial Private School from the list.
Optional Credit Programs: Additional fees are assessed for art, dance/aerobics, guitar, sports, yoga, and fitness. Some of these programs take place during the school day, while others take place after school. All programs are held twice per week. Please contact us for details.
Optional Extended School Hours: Extended hours are provided after school to support working parents and to assist students with homework, projects, and assignments. For a low fee of $135 per month, students are allowed to stay on campus Monday-Thursday from 3:30-5:30. Note: The fee is payable on the 1st of each month and students must be picked up by no later than 5:30 to avoid the extra late fee of $2.00 per minute being assessed.
Payment Plans and Financial Aid
Payment Plan Option: To assist with cash flow for tuition payments, we offer a 5-payment Plan, with payments due by the 5th of each Month. There is $250 required finance fee. Payment Plans are for the tuition only, and do not include fees for books, senior fees, or optional credit or extended hour programs. All fee-based programs are due with the first tuition payment.
Financial Aid: As the financial aid budget is limited to assist with tuition, we ask families to apply for need-based aid early and only if absolutely necessary.
How to Apply for Financial Assistance
Please do not apply for financial aid until your child has been officially accepted.
Submit a copy of your official tax returns. If you own a business, provide any schedules.
Provide an email or letter detailing the reasons why you are requesting assistance, including, parties contributing to tuition (parents, grandparents, relatives), health/business/employment loss or issues, number of students in private schools and/or colleges.
Comparing Tuition Costs
Tuition costs vary widely in the United States, depending on the region, type of school, and a variety of other factors. Secondary faith-based and nonsectarian private schools tend to be in the range of $18,000-$28,000. In the state of Texas, the highest private day school tuition actually exceeds $40,000 according to Private School Review. With Memorial Private School tuition being roughly half that, we are firmly committed to both access and affordability. One of the many benefits of a small school like ours is that we are able to contain costs.
